Benefits of Web Blogging

Thanks to the web-blogging workshop conducted by Pearl and Lionel. My internet skills has hence improved tremedously (Considering the fact that i was a complete "computer idiot"!=)).

Anyway, i am not the only one who has benefited from the course.

The use of web blog has brought my students, their parents and i a step closer. Web blog has brought the learning of mathematics and dissemination of information out of the classroom.

This allows students to access information at home and enables parents to have an instance feedback of how their children are performing in school. Parents may also view photos of their children participating in school programmes from home or in their office. This application provides parents a clear picture of their children’s involvement in school’s activities. And at certain times, answer their concerns immediately.

As time goes, soon I'll not be call a Beginning Teacher. More and more things are coming up, and slowly I've learnt how to handle them more efficiently. I guess I've got the hang of the momentum. There's still a lot of things for me to learn from the senior teachers.Thankfully I've a lot of supports from my Math department. : )

The end of Term 2 or 4 is always appreciated compared to 1 or 3.
We seriously need the break to recharge and perhaps for some of us to reflect on the happenings in the term.

The web-blogging workshop was pretty interesting. Guess the facilitators did a good job in making the workshop short and sweet, more work and less talk.

Always find it hard to make an effort to apply what you have learnt in our teaching. Must admit that sometimes we are too comfortable in our environment or in the things that we do, that we do not explore other possibilities.

But if we don't try, we never learn...
I guess this philosophy must be embraced not just by students but by teachers as well ...
