a) All lesson observations seem to be for professional development. However, current practice is not progressive as compared to the case study.
b) Yes, i do agree (and this is not a politically correct reply).
Primary concern ...will this create extra unnecessary workload (or stress) for teachers.

a) There's preconferencing. And
specific points to observe
during the lesson.

but the teacher need to know
what is it they are not doing
correctly of having difficulty.
1. This is very close to Cognitive Coaching ( Art Costa & Bob Garmston founder) where the person being coached evaluates his/her work. In mentoring, the mentors are encouraged to do exactly this. The mentor does not tell but guides the mentee via questions .
2.It builds learning organisation, encourages thinking. It is empowering and respectful.
a) Ours is recording down our lesson and I can view the video. After the lesson observation, I'm being told on what are the things can be improved.
b) Yes It is more beneficial.
