Lesson observation is being conducted every year for teachers.
a. Do you feel that you are being assessed during the lesson observation?
b. Do you feel stress out when preparing for lesson observation?
c. Do you think our current practice of lesson observation benefitted you?
d. Do you always conduct the same lesson pedagogy for your other normal lessons?
e. How do you think we should approach lesson observation so that, we, teachers can really benefit from it?

c) Yes, at least i am aware of areas to improve on.
d) Not necessarily the same lesson pedagogy for all my lessons.
e) Approach lesson observation as though it is not a LESSON OBSERVATION, i.e. treating our official lesson observation as just normal day-to-day lesson. Practise makes perfect. Preparing for lesson obs is not ideal. Preparing for what we do everyday is more crucial.

c) No, because sometimes there is no post-lesson observation conference

b. Maybe, because I do not know if my ideal lesson plan is what the observer deem also.

d. I think it is subjected to the topics. Pedagogy is topic driven.
e. Maybe it should be recorded.....

b) Not really. If I'm being observed for the things which I seldom practise in classroom teaching, I'll be stressed out.
c) Yes, I'll know where did I go wrong.
d) Once in awhile where time allows, I'll try out something new in my teaching.
e) Get peers to assess first, then the formal observation. At least there's a few rounds of improvement to own's lesson.

(c)NA for me. But I do find that lesson observation does allow me to reflect on my teaching.

d. That's unrealistic expectation
e. Be realistic. Lessons that serve the objectives , does not take too much time to prepare and well-received by pupils should be observed and shared. Maybe pupils feedback will tell us which teacher we can approach to share with us. Then we can modify and try and maybe let others observe.

(b) some level of stress. If I am instructed to prepare a lesson with a specified approach.
(c) To some extent, yes.
(d) Generally, yes. But some topics are dealt with different teaching approaches. (e.g. IT ,etc)
(e) I do not mind uninformed lesson observation if the true picture is what you want.

e) We should present our lesson like any other lesson and not try to spice things up. Lesson observation should be strictly developmental and not a form of assessment.
I dont like lesson observations as they makes me feel uneasy.
